AGM 2018 - Reports

Excursions

The excursions are scheduled as indicated below. It is compulsory for students to attend. There will be a small fee of R20 per student to go on the excursion. We would like to take along some items that are needed. We therefore humbly appeal for a contribution of any of the items listed below. Your assistance, if possible, will be greatly appreciated.

 

Excursion to the Fire Station: Thursday 15 March 2018 (Grade 1, 2 & 3)

Goodwood Fire Station

The items required are as follows: (donations to be handed in by Monday 12 March)

1. Energy bars, Energy drinks, Small bottled water, Energade Jellies

 

Excursion to the Orphanages: Saturday 17 March 2018 (Grade 4, 5 & 12)

Love His Children, Surrey Estate & Habibia Girls, Athlone

The items required are as follows: (donations to be handed in by Wednesday 14 March)

1. Toiletries - body soap, toothpaste, roll on, tissues, etc.

2. Non-perishable food items – e.g. cans, rice, sugar, long life milk, lentils, dhal, beans, etc.

 

Excursion to the Old age home: Saturday 24 March 2018 (Grade 6, 7 & 12)

Beitul Amaan, Wynberg

The items required are as follows: (donations to be handed in by Thursday 22 March)

1. Toiletries - body soap, toothpaste, roll on, tissues, yellow bic razors, adult nappies, etc.

2. Non-perishable food items – e.g. cans, rice, sugar, long life milk, lentils, dhal, beans, tea, etc.

 

Excursion to Tawakkul Rehab Centre: Saturday 14 April 2018 (Grade 8, 9 & 12)

in Schaapkraal

The items required are as follows: (donations to be handed in by Wednesday 11 April)

1. Toiletries - body soap, toothpaste, roll on, tissues, shampoo, etc.

2. Games, e.g. board games, dominoes, etc.

 

Excursion to Mowbray Maqbarah: Saturday 21 April 2017 (Grade 10, 11 & 12)

Mowbray

The items required are as follows: (donations to be handed in by Wednesday 18 April)

1. Toiletries - body soap, toothpaste, roll on, tissues, etc.

2. Non-perishable food items-e.g. cans, rice, sugar, long life milk, lentils, dhal, beans, etc.

The Goodwood Islamic Society is a registered Non Profit Organisation (NPO : 054631) that caters for the spiritual, educational, social and welfare needs of the Goodwood community (and surrounds) which has grown to in excess of 800 families. The Society is administered by a democratically elected Executive Committee who, together with the Imaamat of the Masjied work closely together to achieve the goals and objectives of the Society.
